The Everything DiSC Worksmart curriculum provides managers with practical tools to personalize feedback and direction to their direct reports — fostering a high-performing environment.

How it works..

Worksmart is a dynamic training module that leverages a manager’s Everything DiSC assessment data to personalize their learning experience. Each manager will receive content related to their DiSC personality profile throughout the course.

Step One

Everything DiSC on Catalyst Assessment

Managers will first complete the Everything DiSC Workplace on Catalyst assessment, which takes 20-25 minutes.

After completing the assessment, managers can access their Catalyst account to learn about their style, listen to a style podcast, and create comparison reports with others in their organization.

Managers who have already completed their Workplace on Catalyst assessment can go straight to step two.

Step Two

Assign the Worksmart Training Modules

Next, learners can be assigned the Worksmart Manager Modules. Once assigned, they will have the ability to view all five modules*:

  2. 2) Managing Conflict
  3. 3) Empowering Your Team (Coming Late May)
  4. 4) Helping Your Team Navigate Change (Coming Late June)
  5. 5) Motivating Your Team (Coming Late July)

*Modules 3-5 will become available as they are released.

Step Three

Live, Facilitated Workshop

The Worksmart manager modules are designed to be delivered by a facilitator, trainer, or HR Professional.

During the live session, managers will discover personalized insights for the chosen module. They will engage in small group discussions and work on an action plan that can be applied immediately with their teams.

Scripted guides are available in the Catalyst facilitation kit.

Follow-up Resources

Continuous Access to Catalyst

After the live session, managers will have ongoing access to the learning modules to create additional action plans if needed.

Additionally, they can leverage the Catalyst platform to get personalized insights about their direct reports on how to gain influence, manage conflict, and work more effectively together.

Is DiSC® Certification Required?

DiSC Certification is not required to use this training program. However, facilitators or HR professionals may want to become certified in DiSC if they are unfamiliar with the model. The course is designed to increase confidence and competence in using these tools.

The DiSC Certification course takes place virtually over two weeks. During the course, you will join other learning professionals and dig into the foundations of DiSC Theory and how to run a successful DiSC Workshop including using tools like Worksmart.

This certification course is $2,995 and provides 20 SHRM PDCs after successful completion.

Worksmart Pricing

Worksmart is a 5-course package. When you assign the Worksmart curriculum, learners will gain access to all five courses.

This package requires 20 EPIC credits per learner. The following table includes pricing per learner based in USD, which includes the Everything DiSC Workplace on the Catalyst account.

Worksmart Modules Overview

The Everything DiSC Worksmart modules combine the power of a short-form training curriculum with the personalization of DiSC. This combination helps managers learn new concepts more quickly and effectively. The topics for the modules were produced based on extensive research into areas that plague managers today.

Each module is designed to be facilitated live by a practitioner in about an hour. After the training, managers work on an action plan to apply immediately. The modules will be available as follows:

Giving Contructive Feedback

Participants explore the challenges of giving feedback with personalized insights based on their DiSC style. Managers learn the four key elements that make feedback strong, actionable, and encouraging as well as how to flex each of the elements based on their teammates’ styles.

Managing Conflict

Managers explore their behavioral instincts when they’re faced with conflict and examine how others have different instincts based on their unique DiSC styles. Through discussion and reflection, managers will create a custom action plan that will help them manage conflict with a team member.

Empowering Your Team (Available Soon!)

Managers learn how to ensure each of their team members feel confident and effective when they take the lead. They will explore their go-to empowerment approach based on their DiSC style and understand how to adjust their approach to the needs of other styles. Managers build a custom empowerment plan for each of their team members using Catalyst™.

Helping Your Team Navigate Change (Available late June)

Managers gain a deeper understanding of change and how to help their team navigate through it. Participants gain exposure to how different DiSC styles respond to change and their varying needs as they adjust to change.

Motivating Your Team (Available late July)

Managers explore what’s motivating and demotivating for themselves and their team members, based on DiSC style. They also create action plans for fostering a motivating environment where people feel inspired and excited about their work.

Common Questions about Worksmart

Below are answers to some common questions we’ve experienced during the pilot programs of this new product:

Worksmart Facilitation:

  • Are these modules meant for virtual or in-person delivery? The modules are designed for virtual delivery but can be adapted for in-person learning experiences if each participant has a laptop to access the content.
  • How do I access the facilitation materials? You will need the Catalyst facilitation kit to access the facilitator guides. The scripted guides for the first two modules are available now to download from the kit registration site.
  • Where are the slide decks? This experience does not require PowerPoint slides. Instead, facilitators will use a simple script to guide learners through the Worksmart module experience on Catalyst. Make sure your participants know ahead of time that they will need to be logged into their Catalyst account during your session.
  • How many people can be in a single session? The ideal size is between 5 and 15 participants. Smaller groups are possible, but discussions may not be as lively. Larger groups are also possible, but this will add to the length of the experience or require excellent time management.
  • How much time does it take to run a session? Each module is designed to last 60 minutes, depending on the size of the participant group and the length of the guided discussions.
  • Will this program replace Everything DiSC on Management? No, the Everything DiSC on Management curriculum is designed for a longer-term engagement (8+ training hours). Worksmart is designed for programming that takes less than an hour to complete with more targeted learning.
  • What if some team members are unfamiliar with DiSC? Worksmart is designed for those who have already taken their Everything DiSC assessment. While they do not need to be experts at DiSC, we recommend they at least review their results prior to your session.
  • Can the Worksmart modules be used for self-study? The modules are designed for facilitated sessions. While managers could read through the materials on their own, the impact will not be the same without the guided discussions and shared learning. However, after a session has been facilitated, managers will have ongoing access to the content to revisit key concepts.
  • What do I need to run a virtual session? You will need access to a virtual meeting or webinar tool (such as Zoom) and the Worksmart facilitation guide. Your videoconferencing tool should include the ability to create breakout rooms for small group discussion. It’s also recommended that you, the facilitator, have access to a Catalyst account with Worksmart so that you can follow along or share your screen.

Purchasing & Administration:

  • What does Worksmart Cost? Worksmart costs 20 EPIC Credits plus 15 credits per learner for their Everything DiSC on Catalyst account. Worksmart is available for a 50% discount until July 31st (10 credits per learner).
  • Can I add Worksmart to a learner’s profile who already has Management? Yes, the Worksmart modules can easily be added to a learner’s profile who already has Management or Agile EQ content unlocked. Worksmart serves as a natural follow-on experience to Workplace, Management, or Agile EQ. However, it was specifically designed as a follow-on experience to Workplace.
  • What is the price for learners who have access to Management on Catalyst? The Worksmart manager modules can be added to any learner’s Catalyst account for 20 EPIC credits. There is no price difference for learners who have other content on Catalyst unlocked.
  • Can I buy just one Worksmart module, or do I have to buy all five? Everything DiSC Worksmart is sold only as a collection of five modules. 
  • Can I choose when learners receive access to each module? No – all available modules will be released to the learner once Worksmart is added to their account.
  • How do I assign Worksmart to learners? Worksmart is available for assignment through the Catalyst Administrator Experience. If you are an EPIC admin and unfamiliar with the admin area of Catalyst, contact our support team for assistance.

Technology Requirements:

  • Does this work on mobile? A laptop or desktop computer is the best way for learners to access the Worksmart modules during training, though content can also be viewed on mobile devices.
